Crazy Motorcycle Wheelies

From the don't try this at home department, a guy doing some impressive wheelies. Fun to watch but even if I was inclined to do this sort of thing, wouldn't do it except under very controlled circumstances. The video is good to watch not just to look at the wheelies, but for a couple of safety faux pas.

Notice dumb ass takes his helmet off while standing on top of the bike. In case you didn't know this, a fall from a height of 6 feet is enough to kill you with a head injury. You don't have to be in a high speed crash. Ever heard of someone dying after slipping in their bathtub? It happens. That's why DOT tests for low speed impacts.

Also since the guy just slipped his helmet off he obviously didn't have it strapped on. A helmet that isn't strapped on won't stay on. Here's what will happen, you bounce on the pavement, the helmet flies off, then you hit the pavement again and your head cracks open.

Anyway this kind of stupidity is pathetic. I don't care how talented you are, you never know when something is going to go wrong and you might wipe out. So be prepared. Wasn't Evil Knievel always prepared?
